4.5 magnitude earthquake just hit near San Francisco. I immediately went to the computer to see if info on it was online yet. "Jordan, it won't be online yet," said Yelena and Sarah. But, of course, it was. Not only that, but I found a plugin for Google Earth that will show you all the earthquakes in the last week. It pinpoints the location for you, and when you click on it it'll pop up with information, plus a link to the USGS website with even more information. It gets even cooler: the USGS website has a "did you feel it?" page where it shows a map of who felt the quake.

What is this thing? An Israeli company has made software that will analyze your face and tell you who you look like. Just upload a photo and it does the rest. Way too much fun.

Finland's entry for Eurovision 2006
Oh yeah, and I'm back from vacation. It was fun--the scenery was gorgeous, there weren't very many mesquitos, the weather was fantastic, and the campsites were some of the best I've ever seen. But it was too strenuous, and they hassled us at the airport trying to get home. I can't talk about that too much because there might be litigation. All I'll say is: I had to fly home a day late, the rest of my family had to fly home two days late, and it was a pain in the ass.
