Thumbs down.
Kiera Knightly is hot. And in this movie she takes her shirt off. But Kiera's boobies do not a good movie make. For starters, the plot is convoluted, pointless, and often gratuitous. For example, why do her buddies have to die at the end? There's no reason for it other than for attempted dramatic effect.
The directing was horrible, and it was edited like an MTV special--tons of jerky camerawork. It was loosely based on a true story, but ultimately I don't really care about a hot British bounty hunter in Los Angeles. Does that make me a bad person?

Architecture: Thumbs up
Exhibits: Thumbs down
This is what I expected. I'm talking about the "new" one (which is apparently the old one)--the one with the modern architecture. I'm generally not a fan of modern architecture, but this building was truly inspired. It takes three simple textures: rough rock, smooth rock, and curvy metal, and combines them in almost infinite varieties. Then it adds in negative space, fountains, natural gardens, and panoramic views of Los Angeles.

Yesterday I went to Disneyland for the first time. I was probably the only person left in California who had never been. It was awesome. Really. There are two things that surprised me: how much effort they put into it, and how genuine it all seemed.
There are so many details that make Disneyland special. For example, in the New Orleans quarter, they had a quartet doing a capella. They didn't need to do that. It would have been very nice without the a capella. But someone at Disney Corporate said: "You know what would make the New Orleans quarter e

Thumbs down.
Two very attractive but untalented actors (Pierce Brosnan and Selma Hayek) are "retired" jewel theives on a tropical island. Of course, Pierce Brosnan gets stir crazy; he needs to steal things to be happy. He doesn't like other people and has no hobbies, and yet Selma Hayek (who presumably got half the money) loves him.
Mix in a crazy FBI agent who's after Pierce but ends up befriending him (and gets his own love interest because hey, this is Jamaica).
Why did this movie suck? Other than the bad acting and silly premise? Well, there was very little actual action a
